ISIMAT develops, manufactures and distributes worldwide innovative, fully automated print finishing machines used to enhance the design of high-quality packaging.
The company, which is now part of the Leonhard KURZ Group, has been headquartered in Ellwangen in the administrative region of East Württemberg in southwestern Germany since 1960.
In the meantime, the firm has grown to 80 employees, all of whom are connected by one thing: the pleasure of working for an extraordinarily cosmopolitan company, which at the same time is rooted in its Swabian homeland.
To ensure our future development and success, we are always on the lookout for qualified and motivated employees.
An essential part of ISIMAT’s success can be attributed to the high esteem in which all employees are held.
This applies to the trainees and apprentices, too. New ideas are always welcome! The hierarchy is flat, processes short and efficient, and communication in-house lively.
Personalized CPD is greatly encouraged through internal and external training opportunities. This creates a great many career opportunities in-house.

“I joined ISIMAT in 2007 as a technician. Right from the beginning I assembled specialty machines and quickly acquired a lot of knowledge that I have been able to put to good use in the other posts I have since held. In the meantime, I am Head of Sales. I now have the deep-rooted technical understanding that is essential for this work.”
– Jochen Grabert, Director Sales & Marketing
For those among ISIMAT’s assembly teams and sales staff, traveling around Europe and to North and South America, Asia and Australia is part of their work. ISIMAT has clients all around the globe. Company headquarters in Ellwangen is the hub of all development work and production. This is where the machines are first assembled and acceptance-tested by clients before they are shipped off and deployed all over the world.
“It is not uncommon for an ISIMAT printing machine located on the other side of the globe to be maintained by us personally throughout its entire lifetime. That’s because individual machines may have special features that require the very special expertise of the person who actually developed them.”
– Thomas Küblbeck, Head of Customer Service
“Our head office is in Ellwangen in East Württemberg in southwestern Germany. This is an excellent place to live and work. The town and its suburbs is home to more than 20,000 people and is located right next to the arterial A7 motorway. This baroque jewel—set in a most beautiful landscape and awarded the title of ‘Small Town Pearl’ (Kleinstadtperle)—has excellent infrastructure in terms of housing, education, culture and leisure facilities. A place with a very high quality of life, especially for young families.”
