Screen Printing Machine TH 9

A high-performance tube printing machine for reliable 24/7 operation; comprehensive motorisation and servo-control ensure highly accurate colour to colour registration and short changeover times.
A hybrid tube printer with 9 printing stations: each station can take a flexo printing unit, a screen printing unit, inLINE FOILING® unit or a varnishing unit. These units are interchangeable. Any sequence of these units is possible.
A TH9 can be configured for printing either in-line or stand-alone on tubes or sleeves.

Dynamic Roller Positioning System (DRP-System)
Dynamic roller positioning makes high quality flexo printing on plastic tubes/sleeves possible by virtually eliminating the negative effect of mandrel runout on flexo print quality.
Mandrels hold tubes on their way through a tube printing machine, and even the mandrels’ small run-out is enough to vary the gap between mandrels and flexo plates while the mandrels rotate. A varying gap width causes the printing pressure to vary: some dots might get squashed; others might only be partially printed. A DRP-System moves the flexo printing rollers in each flexo printing station in such a way that during printing the gaps between flexo plate rollers and mandrels are kept constant.

inLINE FOILING® on tubes
A new foil-printing process for creating multi-colour, high-sheen metallised images on tubes. Inline-foiled images complement screen and/or flexo printed images. inLINE FOILING® can be done inline with screen and flexo printing during a single machine pass. Inline foiled images can have large wrap angles, are in perfect registration with the other colours, and extra product handling is not required. Excellent surface quality, high sheen, durability and low cost of metallised images make inLINE FOILING® a perfect alternative to hot stamping.

Secure Hold Mandrels (SH-mandrels)
The secure hold of SH-mandrels prevents any movement of sleeves or tubes on the mandrels on their way through an ISIMAT tube printing machine. Pressurised air expands a sleeve very slightly and creates an air cushion around an SH-mandrel while the sleeve is pushed onto the mandrel in the loading station. The sleeve is held securely on the mandrel once the air is switched off. Pressurised air is switched on again during unloading. SH-mandrels can handle sleeve/tube batches that have variations in their inner diameters; the variations can be up to 0.25 mm, depending on the nominal diameter.

Quick-Change Secure-Hold mandrels (SHx-mandrels)
SHx-mandrels are quick-change SH-mandrels.
SHx mandrels can be changed without using tools.
Floating Squeegee
ISIMAT’s floating squeegee ensures equal ink film thickness when screen printing onto glass hollowware: squeegee pressure stays constant even when bottles or glasses have small variations in diameter or are slightly out of round.

Spot UV LED
A Spot UV LED dryer enables printing of 360° wrap-arounds with almost invisible overprints (with opaque colours). The UV LED dryer accurately dries a very narrow strip along the leading edge of the print; this enables overprinting of the leading edge with the trailing edge. Wrap-arounds can be up to 200 mm wide.
