UVitro Surface Treatment Machine

UVitro® surface treatment (patented) developed by ISIMAT ensures lasting adhesion of UV curable products to glass and ceramics.

UVitro®  is a two-stage process that creates a sub-microscopic roughness on glass surfaces. The sub-microscopic roughness provides mechanical anchor points to UV inks. These anchor points significantly improve the adhesion of UV inks to glass. Images printed with UV inks onto glass look still like new after 400 cycles in a domestic dish washer.

UV inks are organic and do not contain heavy metals. UV curing is a preferred drying technology based on low energy consumption and high quality finishes. UVitro®  enables glass decorators to print with UV inks, to reduce or eliminate volatile organic compound emission and to comply with existing and forthcoming environmental legislations.

UVitro®  does not add complexity to direct screen printing with UV inks onto glass; glass items can be treated in-line at high production speed before the items are loaded into the screen printing machine.
